Shuli Huang is a Chinese writer-director, and cinematographer living in New York City.

His short film, Will You Look At Me, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival’s Critics’ Week 2022, where it received the Queer Palm award, and went on to win the Short Film Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival 2023.

Goodbye First Love, his latest short film premiered in competition at the Berlinale Shorts 2024.

As a cinematographer, Shuli’s work includes feature films such as Farewell, My Hometown, which won the New Currents Award at the Busan International Film Festival 2021, and Borrowed Time, selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024.
